Blind Watchman & Dumb Dogs

Isa:56:10: His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber

Biblical ignorance and worldliness are common amongst Christians today. They dont read their Bibles and blindly follow Apostate teachers.

The majority of Chistian "ministers" today are either asleep, spiritually blind, or cowards. They are failing to educate their congregations. They take them through the ecumenical widegate, and like to make them feel good about themselves rather than preach the truth regardless of the cost. They are as "dumb dogs." What good is a watch dog that will not bark? What good is a watchman who can not see! In this Laodicean Age of Apostacy, and deceit, we need preachers that are not afraid to lift up their voices against error, to prepare the church as a bride for the soon to come bridegroom - Our Lord Jesus Christ. Do not be deceived - do not follow blindly the teachings of the world.

"A silent watchman is more dangerous than no watchman because people feel a sense of security if they think a watchman is on duty. God called pastors of Judah "blind watchmen" and said "they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark" (Isa. 56:10). He did not accuse them of false doctrine, only of sleeping when they should have been warning" --Calvary Contender

If a person or group that claims to be Christian seriously departs from biblical doctrines, one should not stand idly by in sinful silence:

"Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. (Tit1:9-11)

To not speak would be dishonoring to God and unloving to both the propagators and the hearers of the error. If the watchman does not blow the trumpet and warn the people, he is held accountable for any person that is taken away in his iniquity. (Ezek 33:2-9)

"...if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand." (Ezek 33:8)

"And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the Lord? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the Lord" (2 Chronicles 19:2)

Preachers today are allowing wolves to enter into the flock.

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." (Matthew 7:15)

The flock feed on the word of God,

" shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." (Matthew 4:4)

but wolves feed on sheep,

"For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock." (Ac:20:29)

The Bible says,

"desire the sincere milk of the word" (I Peter 2:2)

"For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but into us which are saved it is the power of God." (I Corinthians 1:18)

Preaching is God manifesting His Word and that is the power of God to the saved (the sheep), but wolves do not feed on the Word of God, they eat sheep. So they enter in and try to remove the food, they replace our Bibles with ones more suitable to themselves, and promote new revelations. They tell us its the study, not the preaching of Gods word that is important and replace preaching (1 Cor 1:18), with bible studies from corrupted bibles, videotaped presentations, musicals, short messages, talks, lectures, and testimonials, etc. Wolves dislike long preaching because thats food for sheep. They would rather have mysticism and entertainment, to draw the sheep to themselves.

To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. (Isaiah 8:20)

C.H. Spurgeon--
"On all hands we hear cries for unity in this and unity in that; but in our mind the main need of this age is not compromise but conscientiousness, 'First pure, then peaceable.' It is easy to cry 'A confederacy,' but that union that is not based on the truth of God is rather a conspiracy than a communion. Charity by all means: but honesty also. Love of course, but love to God as well as love to men, and love of truth as well as love of union. It is exceedingly difficult in these times to preserve one's fidelity before God and one's fraternity among men. Should not the former be preferred to the latter if both cannot be maintained? We think so" (The Sword and Trowel, April 1887, p. 196, as cited in C.H. Spurgeon and the Modern Church , by R.J. Sheehan, p. 22).

Eph:4:13: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love
